Star Wars Destiny Chronicles: Darksiders -- Lumiya's Sith

Yeah, it's a republish. I was trying to redo the numbering order but soon found it to be pointless. Just... whatever.
LUMIYA'S SITH
To say the Sith and those of their ilk have been a thorn in the galaxy's side would be an understatement. For several millennia have those aligned with the dark side of the Force threatened the galaxy, battling the Jedi and Republic for control. Like all evil, the dark side and its followers can never truly be vanquished.

Over the years following the death of Darth Sidious and the fall of the Order of the Sith Lords, many have risen to claim the mantle of Dark Lord, the ancient Darth Vorath most prominent of them all. But Vorath was far from the only to claim the title at the time, and after his own death, the Sith became even more fragmented than before -- and that's not including the other, non-Sith darksiders active at the time.

To start with: although the Order he had built had fallen, Darth Bane's Rule of Two was far from forgotten...
Lumiya
Born on Imperial Center, Shira Elan Colla Brie was dedicated to the tenets of the New Order, garnering the attention and interest of the Emperor's chief enforcer Darth Vader. Recommended for training by the Dark Lord himself, Shira was trained in Imperial Intelligence and came to serve as a mole planted within the ranks of the Rebellion following the Battle of Yavin.

Shira achieved her goal in ostracizing Rebel hero Luke Skywalker but at the cost of her own life. Recovered from the brink of death by Vader, she was rebuilt with cybernetics and trained as a Dark Side Adept, given the new identity of Lumiya, Shadow Hand to Vader and secret assassin for the Emperor.

Bound to the ancient Sith world of Ziost for training, Lumiya was left without a teacher when both Palpatine and Vader perished on the second Death Star over Endor. Seemingly on her own, Lumiya planned on embarking on a quest to further her dark side wisdom... until she met a man named Darth Vorath. An ancient Lord of the Sith, Vorath had emerged from hiding upon the deaths of Sidious and Vader and was on the path of taking control of the Empire. To this extent, he had set off in search of the dark side adepts that had served the Empire in the hopes of bringing them to his cause -- or executed them if need be. Naturally, Lumiya had been on the top of his list, being one of the Emperor's Hands.

Seeing this as an opportunity to further her training, Lumiya accepted Vorath as her new master. Joining his small Sith Order, Lumiya spent several missions dealing with the nascent New Republic as well as the squabbling warlords of the fragmented Empire. She was eventually tasked with monitoring the Dark Empire of the clone Emperor, which was all part of a ploy of Vorath's to draw out those loyal to Palpatine and eliminate them. During this time, she took on another of Vorath's acolytes, Flint -- who had been another student of Vader's -- as a secret apprentice, planning on one day overthrowing Vorath.

After the Dark Empire had served its purpose, Lumiya led the Dark Jedi of the clone Emperor to Vjun, hoping to train them as Sith for Vorath's Empire. However, the leader of these Dark Jedi, Sedriss QL, had no interest in serving another master and turned on Lumiya, killing Flint in the process. Lumiya succeeded in killing the rest of the Dark Side Elite save for one -- Kam Solusar -- who fled from Vjun and retreated to the Jedi Praxeum on Yavin 4.

Needless to say, Vorath was severely disappointed when only Lumiya returned to him. Sensing an opportunity to get back in his good graces (as well as a possible means to overthrow him), Lumiya volunteered to carry and bear the heir that Vorath was planning to have so that he would someday survive through them. Recognizing Lumiya's strength in the Force -- which would thus produce an even stronger child -- Vorath accepted and created a clone of himself to help conceive this heir, as his body was far too old and corrupted by the dark side to do so.

Settling down on remote Damosus, a pregnant Lumiya approached her old flame Andros Sendor, pretending that the child was his. When she finally gave birth to Varon Sendor, Andros attempted to have a DNA test done to make sure the child was actually his. This was something Lumiya could not afford and she killed Andros in his sleep. She then left Varon under the care of Andros' brother Vandos.

Lumiya had hoped that performing this task would have allotted her a higher rank in Vorath's Sith Order. However, the Dark Lord seemed to have lost interest in her, assigning her to perform petty assassinations that were better fit for one of his acolytes. He even forbade her from setting foot on the Dromund Kaas training grounds, not wanting her to find another prospective apprentice, especially when Varon started training. Angered by this, Lumiya abandoned Vorath and his order, embarking for parts unknown.

Rather than pursue her, Vorath simply let her run. By this time, he had already amassed his empire and had procured his heir. There was nothing Lumiya could do that could stop him; how could she when even the Jedi could not?

Of course, not long after Lumiya left, Darth Vorath was vanquished by Toah Jarsan. His empire collapsed and the Sith were scattered.

Over the next decade, Lumiya spent her years accumulating dark side knowledge. She acquired the holocron of the Sith King Adas from the Mecrosa Order. She plundered the tombs of ancient Dark Lords from Tulak Hord to Exar Kun. During this time, she found a new apprentice in the form of Carnor Jax, a former Imperial Royal Guard, and so the Rule of Two was reinstated once more.

When the Glorians invaded the galaxy, they sent their agent Shadow to exterminate the remnants of the Sith so that they would not pose a threat. Shadow spent years hunting down Lumiya and Jax, tracking them to the moon of Dxun only to lose them once more. He eventually followed them to Sarafur, where they were exploring rumors of a Killik Sith Lord that predated even Ajunta Pall and his Exiles. Confronting the two Sith, the Glorian agent succeeded in killing Carnor Jax but spared Lumiya, for reasons she could not comprehend. What she did not know was that Shadow had been called off from his mission by his master, who needed his attention focused elsewhere. In the Watcher's eyes, the Sith were no longer a threat to the Glorian Empire.

Following this defeat, Lumiya was forced to swallow her pride and give up on her mission. Taking a leaf from Darth Vectivus' book, she returned to Damosus and settled down, taking on the alias of Brisha Syo. It wasn't long before she was found by Lysira Naris, who was on her path of rebuilding the Sith. Sensing that Lysira was pregnant with Varon's child, Brisha offered to care for her grandson while Lysira worked on building her order. She even helped Lysira find prospective students in other children that had been born under Vorath's rule.

Four years after the end of the Glorian War, Brisha was visited by Varon, whom she had not seen since he was born. The young Sith had come to kill her in an attempt to eradicate all ties to his past so that he would be able to start his life anew. That was when Brisha decided to pull her wild card: Kalon, the son of Varon and Lysira. Upon learning of his son's existence, Varon refrained from killing his mother and instead reevaluated his life, eventually abandoning the Sith and settling down with Lysira to raise their son.

Lumiya knew she had failed the memory of Sith before her. But one day, she knew, the Sith would rise again and finally have their revenge. And as she gave her life to eradicate Atha Prime, who threatened to terrorize Varon's family to further his own agendas, the former Dark Lady received a vision: an older Kalon Sendor reigning over Damosus as Count, with a dynasty of Sith at his beck and call.

The future, Lumiya decided as she breathed her last, was in good hands.
Flint
Flint's father had been a Jedi Knight, who was killed by General Grievous during the final days of the Clone Wars. Left to raise her son alone, Zana feared that Flint would follow in his father's footsteps and share the same fate. What befell him instead was far much worse.

After his home was destroyed, Flint, disillusioned with the Rebellion, fell in with the Empire and joined their ranks as a stormtrooper. In secret, he received special training from Darth Vader, who saw potential in the young man and planned on pitting him against his other pupil Lumiya for the role of Shadow Hand. However, Vader died before Flint's training could be complete.

Following his master's death, Flint retreated to the planet Vjun and mourned his loss in Vader's Bast Castle. It was there that he was found by agents of Darth Vorath's Sith Order in search of Imperial Dark Side Adepts. Bringing Flint back to Vorath, he was assigned to work with Lumiya, who had also been a pupil of Vader's. Recognizing Lumiya to be far more stronger and wiser than he, Flint asked Lumiya to be his new master so that they could one day work to overthrow Vorath.

The two acolytes worked within the Dark Empire, performing tasks for the reborn Emperor. After the clone Palpatine's death, Flint and Lumiya retreated to Vjun with Sedriss QL and the Dark Side Elite with the intent of eventually rejoining the Sith on Dromund Kaas. However, Sedriss and his Dark Jedi had no interest in serving another master and turned on Lumiya. Flint attempted to defend his master and, while he was able to cut down two of the seven, he quickly met his end at Sedriss' blade.
Carnor Jax
Carnor Jax was the product of a cloning program undertaken by the Empire to produce new warriors. His "father" -- or prime clone -- had been Kenix Jir, a Thyrsian Sun Guard in the service of Darth Sidious. When Jir failed to retrieve the holocron of King Adas, Sidious executed him for his failure. However, the Dark Lord kept a hold on a DNA sample of the Sun Guard and used it to create clones that would serve him in his Empire.

Enlisted into the Stormtrooper Corps upon birth, Carnor Jax served as one of Agent Blackhole's elite, black-armored stormtroopers. Standing out as the best of his squad, Jax was recommended for service as a Royal Guard and was taken to Yinchorr for training. Competing in the Squall with other trainees, Jax was one of only two in his class to be elevated to the rank of Royal Guard, the other being his fellow clone Kir Kanos.

Jax was not among the Royal Guards brought by the Emperor to the second Death Star, remaining on Coruscant when the space station was destroyed over Endor, taking His Imperial Majesty with it. Continuing service under interim rulers Sate Pestage and Ysanne Isard, Jax secretly harbored plans to take the throne for himself, dreaming of a Crimson Empire. At some point Isard's rule, Jax and his detachment of Royal Guards were transferred to the command of the Dark Jedi Lumiya at her request. What Isard did not know was that Lumiya was secretly working for Darth Vorath and the Royal Guards were brought to the Sith Lord's lair for extensive training.

When the Dark Empire came about, Jax was planted in the ranks of the clone Emperor's Royal Guard to insure he did not act out of line or find out his true purpose. After the faux Palpatine had served his purpose, Jax returned to Dromund Kaas and served as one of Espaa Valorum's guards, sometimes serving as his body double when dealing with Imperials that were not yet trustworthy.

After Vorath was vanquished, Jax went into hiding, not joining Admiral Pellaeon's Imperial Remnant. He attempted to track down his former comrade Kir Kanos but failed to find him. Instead, he ran into the Sith Lady Lumiya, who had abandoned Vorath shortly before his defeat. Sensing the Force in Jax -- a dormant trait present in all of Kenix Jir's clones, but only Jax had ever been able to tap into it -- Lumiya took on the former Royal Guard as her apprentice and carried on the legacy of the Sith.

Jax traveled with his master across Sith Space and beyond, visiting tombs on worlds such as Korriban, Rhen Var, and Dxun. Eventually their travels brought them to Sarafur, home to the tomb of a Killik Sith Lord, where they were attacked by the Glorian agent Shadow. Jax attacked the assassin but his skills proved to be inferior to that of Shadow's and he was summarily executed.
