END OF THE ROAD, PART 2
JAZZ: (Narration) Have you ever had that feeling when, no matter what you did, no matter how much you tried, it just never seemed anything went right? I have. It's a really bad feeling.
(Menasor grabs Windcharger)
WINDCHARGER: AHH!
HOT ROD: Windcharger!
WINDCHARGER: No! Please! Don't--
(Menasor gets shot in the arm)
MENASOR: RRRARGH!
HOT ROD: What the--?
JAZZ: (Narration) But sometimes...
OVERRIDE: Well, don't just stand there... (She flies in with reinforcements) Give him what he deserves!
JAZZ: Override?!
JAZZ: (Narration) ...Things take a turn for the better.
BLURR: That's... unexpected.
SWERVE: But totally awesome!
JAZZ: You heard her, Autobots. Fire!
MENASOR: RARRRGH!
(Meanwhile...)
ARMORHIDE: Evac, this is Armorhide! Another 'Con just broke through the cargo hold!
EVAC: Hang in there, Armorhide! Prowl, can you pilot the ship?
PROWL: Sure can.
EVAC: Alright, you two. Let's go! Optimus, how's it going down there?
OPTIMUS PRIME: One the scale of one to ten? Zero.
LUGNUT: Prepare for your annihilation, Autobots!
(Elsewhere...)
SOUNDWAVE: Slick, status report.
SLICK: We're still drilling through the crater, Soundwave. Progress is a little slow.
SOUNDWAVE: Make it faster. The Autobots will soon figure out that we are stalling.
LASERBEAK: Why don't you just have Lugnut use his POKE, destroy the Autobots, and be done with it?
SOUNDWAVE: ...
RAVAGE: Duh moment.
SOUNDWAVE: Lugnut.
LUGNUT: Yes, Soundwave?
SOUNDWAVE: We must quicken our progress. Eradicate the Autobots at once.
LUGNUT: With pleasure.
OPTIMUS PRIME: Oh no... GET DOWN!
(Lugnut delivers his punch, blasting a hole through Evac's ship that sends people flying out)
SKYWARP: Gee, he could've given us a warning!
SFX: THOOM!
EVAC: Optimus! What happened?! Optimus? Optimus!
(Velocitron...)
BLURR: This really isn't going anywhere, is it?
VELOCITRONIAN: Our weapons have no effect on him!
JAZZ: Windcharger! Do you still have the Matrix shard?
WINDCHARGER: Um... yeah?
JAZZ: I want you to get up close to that giant and throw it into his mouth.
WINDCHARGER: Uh... wouldn't that be, y'know, bad?
JAZZ: Just do it.
WINDCHARGER: Okay... I hope you know what I'm doing.
MENASOR: RARGH! Nothing can stop Menasor!
JAZZ: We'll see about that. (He readies a thermal detonator)
WINDCHARGER: Hey, ugly! Yo! Over here!
MENASOR: Grrr...
WINDCHARGER: Open wide for me, fella! C'mon! Be brave! (Menasor opens his mouth) Good boy! Okay, time for your medicine!
JAZZ: Yah! (He tosses the detonator into Menasor's open mouth) Windcharger! Get out of there!
WINDCHARGER: Don't need to tell me twice!
MENASOR: RRRGH! No! I--we--are Menasor! We can't end like this! No! No! NO! NOOO-- (He blows up)
WINDCHARGER: Whoa.
HOT ROD: Why didn't you think of that sooner?
JAZZ: It's all part of being a special ops agent.
SWERVE: Does that make sense to you?
BLURR: Nope.
JAZZ: Thank you for the assistance, Override.
OVERRIDE: It's been my pleasure, Autobot Jazz.
JAZZ: And thanks, Brakedown, for the shard.
BRAKEDOWN: Don't mention it.
JAZZ: Blurr, contact Optimus and then Magnus that we've found the shard on Velocitron. One down... three to go!
(The Moon)
SLICK: Soundwave! I think we've found something!
RUMBLE: PULLLL! (He pulls out a blue Matrix shard)
SOUNDWAVE: Excellent... Lugnut, it is time to leave.
LUGNUT: Very well.
OPTIMUS PRIME: Wha-- what's going on?
LUGNUT: Like I'd tell you. Our victory is at hand!
VECTOR PRIME: Stop right there!
SOUNDWAVE: Vector Prime. I've heard of you. Let us see if your reputation precedes you.
VECTOR PRIME: I cannot let you take that Matrix shard!
SOUNDWAVE: And why not? Why is it you Autobots are after these shards?
VECTOR PRIME: Because if they're not reunited in time, the universe will be in danger.
SOUNDWAVE: Ah, yes. I've been told as much by an accomplice of mine. Why should I believe any of it?
VECTOR PRIME: I know you, Soundwave. You don't believe in anything, except in pure logic.
SOUNDWAVE: You have me confused with someone else; I live by facts, which can vary in how logical it is. Now, answer my question.
VECTOR PRIME: I'm not sure I can do so in words you will understand. So instead, I will show you.
SOUNDWAVE: What the-- (He gets shown a vision) Five planets... five shards... a ruler crazed with power... doom on Cybertron... harbingers of the end... and then... (vision ends) the Chaos Bringer.
VECTOR PRIME: Yes.
SOUNDWAVE: I thought he was a myth.
VECTOR PRIME: You thought wrong.
SOUNDWAVE: I suppose you are right. The shards must be united, instead of being used for my intent. But I will be the one to unite them. (He shoots Vector before driving off) Skywarp, prepare to take off... Set a course for Gigantion. We have won this battle.
(The Decepticons leave, with the Autobots left stranded on the moon)
