Transformers Prime: Origins--Breakdown

TRANSFORMERS PRIME: ORIGINS
BREAKDOWN
The only sounds that filled the streets of Polyhex were the roars of engines as five Cybertronian vehicles zoomed down the path to Darkmount Pass. At the lead was a large truck, covered in black and gray metal, with violet windshields that narrowed down like eyes. With a rumbling voice, it spoke.
'Faster, Stunticons! We do want to make it in time to stop those puny Autobots, don't we?"
A maroon-colored vehicle let out a moaning voice. "We would be moving faster if a certain someone wouldn't have stopped to knock over a pedestrian..."
"Hey, he was in my way, Dead End!" A dark gray and red Transformer snapped. "I say he deserved it!"
"Enough," the lead Stunticon growled. "Just keep moving."

The five Stunticons arrived at Darkmount Pass, where a battle was raging on, between Autobots and Decepticons alike. The Stunticons transformed to their robot modes and activated their weapons, their leader unsheathing a large, violet sword. They charged, firing their blasters in all directions at once. Noticing the newcomers, the Autobots turned their focus away from their opponents and began shooting at the Stunticons.

They had barely fired when one of the Stunticons let out a startled yelp and backed away. The other Stunticons seemed to have ntoiced this and their leader let out a deafening roar.
"Breakdown! What in the Pit is wrong with you?!"
The scared Stunticon did not reply, and he transformed back into his vehicle mode and took off. One of the Autobots spotted the fleeing Transformer, and took after him. Breakdown failed to notice his pursuer as they drove down Polyhex's twisting roads. After nearly an hour of driving, Breakdown stopped in a deserted alley and converted to his robot mode.

He turned around and jumped at the sight of a large, green-armored Autobot, a hammer in place of his right hand. Breakdown slowly stepped back, raising his hands in surrender.
"Please..." he murmured. "Please don't hurt me. I just..just couldn't take it anymore! They were everywhere...the ghosts..."
The green Autobot rose an eyebrow. "Ghosts? What are you talking about, freak?"
"The ghosts..." Breakdown replied. "They're everywhere! Don't you see them? They're watching me!"
The Autobot gave a annoyed grunt and rose his right arm. As he brought the hammer down, he failed to notice a spindly figure sneak up behind him...
***
Breakdown slowly opened his optics, viewing everything with a blur. Once his vision had cleared, he realized that he was in a dimly lit room, with the only light coming from a small lamp attached to the ceiling. After observing further, he saw a shadowed figure before him, red eyes glowing from its silhouette.
"Ah, good, " the stranger said. "You're awake. That's a first..."
"What do you mean?" Breakdown demanded. "Who are you? Where am I?"
"I see you don't realize that you're on an operating table," the stranger replied. "It does take a while for it to sink in..."

Breakdown glanced down and screamed. Indeed, he was on an operating table. And he was missing his entire lower torso.
"What have you done to me?!" he screamed. The stranger laughed in reply.
"Oh, please. I didn't do that to you." The shadowed being gestured to an offline figure on another operating table. "He did."
Breakdown looked back and forth between the stranger and the being who he knew was the Autobot that confronted him earlier. "Who is...?"
"His name is Roadbuster, member of the Wreckers," the stranger answered. "Quite a scary 'bot, I must admit. He wasn't that hard to capture, though. He'll also be an excellent subject for my next experiment...along with you."

Breakdown gasped. "What are you going to do to me?!"
The stranger laughed. "Don't worry. You'll thank me in the end."
Breakdown's screams were the last thing he'd here for a long time...
YEARS LATER
Breakdown walked alongside various other Decepticons as they boarded their leader Megatron's flagship, the Nemesis. As he walked up the ramp, one of the others stopped him.
"Hey, Breakdown," he said. "How did you get that bulky chassis? I thought you were, y'know, smaller?"
The former Stunticon gave a small smile. "Well, Barricade, it's a long story. Let's just say I owe it to a certain 'bot called...Knock Out."
