Optimus Prime Biography--Part One: Cartoon

OPTIMUS PRIME
EARLY LIFE
Orion Pax was once a neutral dock worker during the Golden Age of Cybertron and was best friends with Dion and Ariel. He and his friends idolized the newly made 'flying' robots, not knowing that they were the evil Decepticons led by Megatron.
One day, a group of time-traveling Autobots from the future arrived and Orion befriended them, thinking they were new workers at the dock. At that moment, the Decepticons arrived and Orion eagerly greeted them. Megatron tricked Orion into showing him the Energon supply at the warehouse and sent his Decepticons to steal it. Orion and his friends attempted to stop them, but were heavily injured by the Decepticons' firepower.
The time travelers then took Orion's injured body to the Autobot sage Alpha Trion, who rebuilt Orion into a stronger body. He then presented him with the Matrix of Leadership, which had belonged to the late Sentinel Prime, and named the former dock worker Optimus Prime.
DURING THE WAR
After becoming leader of the Autobots, Optimus Prime led the Autobots against the Decepticons for millions of years, protecting every Cybertronian city from Megatron's wrath. As the war raged on, it begin to deplete Cybertron's energy, to the point that it could barely sustain life. In order to save their dying world, Optimus gathered up a crew of Autobots on the legendary ship, the Ark.
As the Ark took off, Megatron's sensors detected them and sent his own team of Decepticons after them. Once they had caught up with the Autobots, the Decepticons invaded the Ark, attacking all of the Autobots inside. Amidst the conflict, the Ark fell into the orbit of a nearby planet and it descended towards it, crashing violently with a large volcano. For the next four million years, the Transformers would remain dormant...
 THE FIRST EARTH WAR
That is, until the volcano they crashed in erupted and activated the Ark's Sky Spy unit which revived the comatose Transformers and reformatted them so they could transform into Earth vehicles. Once they had been reactivated, the two factions began their war anew, this time with another world added to the conflict.
Optimus Prime would prove to be a heroic leader, fighting valiantly to protect the native humans from the evil doings of the Decepticons.
The war on Earth would continue on for more then twenty years, with neither side being even close to winning. In the year 2001, Megatron and his forces succeeded in conquering Cybertron. As a response, Optimus ordered the construction of an Autobot City on Earth, so the planet would be prepared for any attack made by the Decepticons.
That attack finally came in the year 2005, when Megatron's forces hijacked an Autobot ship and headed for Earth, launching a surprise attack on Autobot City. Optimus shortly returned from a mission to Moonbase One and confronted Megatron. The two leaders entered a savage duel, which eventually came to a pause, with Megatron at Optimus' mercy. Unbeknownst to the Prime, Megatron had found a discarded gun and was about to use it to kill him when the Autobot Hot Rod intervened. With Optimus distracted, Megatron fired the gun, severely injuring him. As Megatron prepared to deliver the final blow, Optimus retrieved a club and knocked Megatron away.
Optimus was then carried to a medical table where the scientist Perceptor examined his wounds, declaring them fatal. Shortly before dying, Optimus passed the Matrix of Leadership to his old friend Ultra Magnus, who reluctantly accepted it. With his final wish fulfilled, Optimus Prime died of his injuries.
POST-MORTEM
Shortly after Optimus Prime's death, the Matrix would find Hot Rod as its true possessor and rebuilt him into Rodimus Prime. During Rodimus' age, the alien Quintessons attempted to trick the Autobots by ressurrecting Optimus Prime as a zombie-like creature. However, the zombie Prime saw through the Quintesson's plans, and piloted his ship towards the alien's bombed asteroid. With a threatening explosion, Optimus was thought gone for good.
RETURN
Years later, however, when the Hate Plague began to infect several Autobots, including Rodimus, a team of human scientists retrieved Optimus's body and it was later taken to a Quintesson scientist, who hesitantly agreed to reanimate the Autobot leader. The ressurrection was a success and Optimus managed to use the Matrix and cure the Hate Plague. After the threat was gone, the Decepticons offered a truce to Optimus Prime, which he accepted. Rodimus then returned leadership back to Optimus, declaring that he was not worth of leading the Autobots.
REBIRTH
Months after Optimus' return, Galvatron betrayed his truce and launched another attack on the Autobots, with the evil alien Lord Zarak at his side. Optimus led his heroic comrades against the Decepticons as they attempted to steal Vector Sigma's power. Once their plot was foiled, the Decepticons retreated into deep space as Cybertron entered a new Golden Age.
Some time later, Optimus would send the Autobots after Galvatron. The result of this has yet to be revealed.
By the time the Pax Cybertronia was signed, Optimus had left Cybertron to become a space explorer.
