Mar Jovan

A male Chagrian born on Champala, Mar Jovan was taken into the Jedi Order years before the Great Sith War and was trained in the ways of the Force by the Caamasi Jedi Master Equirel A'Qa, and later Master Odan-Urr. Training as a Jedi Consular, Jovan eventually reached the rank of Jedi Master.
Sometime before the Sith War, Jovan took on the young Jedi Varn Xala as an apprentice. By 4000 BBY, Jovan had become a member of the Jedi High Council. During this time, the Jedi Knight Exar Kun began studying Sith teachings, which the Council strongly opposed.
Jovan later fought in the Great Sith War against the Brotherhood of the Sith. He was among the many Jedi killed during the Battle of Ossus. His apprentice Varn Xala would later succeed him on the Jedi Council, under Grand Master Nomi Sunrider.
