THE THIRTEEN
Apologies for the belated entry! I have been spending the past several weeks delving into Earth culture and exploring much of what they consider great -- or, what they dub, "pop culture". Now, I have spent a good portion of life living with droids, thanks to my father's job as a droid repairman, so naturally I am inclined towards fictitious works regarding droids, which the Earthlings call "robots". My friend Gerald has been kind enough to provide me with some learning material, and today I wish to share with you some of my findings.
Now, apparently there are these robots called "the Transformers," robots with the ability to change shape. Gerald tells me that they aren't real, but the amount of information on them leads me to believe otherwise. In any case, the book I've been given delves into their history and details a group known as the "First Thirteen Transformers". So, without further ado, allow me to recount their members and adventures for your benefit.
The Thirteen
Prima was the first of the Thirteen to be created and said to be the cast of the mold of the Creator God Primus himself. A noble Warrior of Light, Prima was severely injured during the fight against the Chaos Bringer Unicron but continued to lead the other Primes as they set about building Cybertron's society, working closely with Vector Prime and Alpha Trion. Growing detached from his comrades, Prima began "categorizing" the other twelve Primes between good and evil, which proved to be the catalyst for the Thirteen's falling out. After the murder of Solus Prime, Prima hunted down Megatronus and exiled him. While the other Primes departed Cybertron, Prima stayed behind to defend the next generation of Transformers from Predaking and his Predacons. After the Great Cataclysm, Prima vanished from public view, his fate unknown.
Vector Prime was the next Prime to be created. Stern and serious, Vector fashioned himself the Guardian of Time and Space, an extension of Primus' will. During the battle with Unicron, Vector Prime used his powers to place the Chaos Bringer within an infinite time loop to ensure the dark god was never reawakened. In the aftermath, he worked with Prima and Alpha Trion to establish rules and regulations for the new society of Cybertron. After a destructive conflict between the Primes, which resulted in Liege Maximo's death and Megatronus' exile, Vector retreated into another dimension, his faith in his fellow Primes shattered.
Alpha Trion was the third Prime to be created. While Prima, Vector, Onyx and Amalgamous trained as warriors, Alpha Trion trained as a strategist alongside Micronus, Quintus and Liege Maximo. After Unicron's defeat, Trion worked with Prima and Vector Prime to establish rules for the new society, while also dedicating himself to recording history. When the Thirteen fell to conflict, Trion was knocked unconscious and missed out on most of the battle. After Liege Maximo had been killed and Megatronus exiled, Alpha Trion worked with his remaining brothers in reviving Cybertron and watching over the next generation. By the time of the Golden Age, Alpha Trion was the last living member of the Thirteen left on Cybertron.
Solus Prime was the fourth of the Thirteen to be created. While the other Primes trained as groups, Solus remained a free agent and helped build weapons and artifacts for her brothers to utilize in the fight against Unicron. Following the Chaos Bringer's defeat, Solus formed a close relationship with Megatronus, gifting him the destructive Requiem Blaster against the other Primes' objections. The conniving Liege Maximo used this relationship as means to manipulate Megatronus, resulting in him killing Solus Prime, thus fracturing the Thirteen. Through unknown means, her body merged with Cybertron's soil, creating a Well of All Sparks.
Micronus Prime, the fifth Prime and the first Mini-Con, trained alongside Alpha Trion, Quintus Prime, and Liege Maximo as a strategist in the fight against Unicron. He would also become inseparable friends with the beast warrior Onyx Prime. After Unicron had been defeated, Micronus worked with Liege Maximo and Amalgamous in creating an energon refinery. When Megatronus killed Solus, Micronus was driven to rage and refused to off his fallen brother a chance for redemption. Following the fracturing of the Thirteen, Micronus turned his attention to the future of Cybertron and joined the fatally wounded Onyx in the Well of All Sparks, sacrificing their energies to activate the well and seed Cybertron with new life.
Alchemist Prime was the sixth member of the Thirteen to be created by Primus. Along with Solus, Nexus and Optimus Prime, Alchemist served as something of a "free agent", never associating himself with either the warrior or strategist Primes, although he would form a friendship with the troubled warrior Megatronus. When Alchemist and the other Primes voted against Quintus and Liege Maximo's "Farm", Megatronus murdered Solus Prime in anger, resulting in the Thirteen fighting between themselves. In the aftermath, Alchemist stepped down as a leading figure and instead guided Cybertron's new generation from afar. After the Great Cataclysm, Alchemist vanished from the annals of history.
Nexus Prime, the seventh Prime and the first combiner, was known as the "Wizard of Forms" among his fellow Primes, being able to split himself up into multiple robots. Proud and unpredictable, Nexus shared an affinity for creation with his fellow "free agent" Solus Prime, forging a close relationship between the two Primes which earned Nexus the animosity of Megatronus and Liege Maximo. Following the defeat of Unicron and the fracturing of the Thirteen, Nexus split himself into five components:
Cannonspring, Chaindrive, Clocker, Mainspring and
Pinion. Each carried a fragment of Prima's Star Saber and were spread across the universe.
Onyx Prime was the eighth Prime and the first beast Transformer. Training as a warrior alongside the likes of Prima and Megatronus, Onyx was close friends with Micronus and Solus Prime, the latter relationship earning him the chagrin of Megatronus. After discovering Solus' corpse, Onyx and the other Primes went after Megatronus, resulting in a destructive conflict between the members of the Thirteen. The fight left Onyx in critical condition; as a dying act, Onyx journeyed into the newly-formed Well of All Sparks and sacrificed himself to give life to a new generation of Transformers.
Amalgamous Prime was the ninth Prime to be created, possessing the ability to change his shape into anything he wished. After vanquishing Unicron, he worked with Micronus Prime and Liege Maximo to create an energon refinery and often clashed with the trio of Prima, Vector Prime, and Alpha Trion. After the schism of the Thirteen, Amalgamous departed Cybertron for parts unknown, leaving behind the gift of transformation to the new generation of Transformers. Eons later, a tribe of Transformers based on Amalgamous would arise on Cybertron, calling themselves the Shifters.
Quintus Prime, the tenth Prime, trained as a strategist along with Alpha Trion, Micronus, and Liege Maximo. After Unicron's defeat, Quintus worked with Liege Maximo and Megatronus to create a "Farm" of robot beasts. The other Primes were appalled by this and voted to shut down the "Farm", a decision which spurred Megatronus to murder Solus Prime and cause a schism between the Thirteen, which ended with Liege Maximo's death. Following the conflict, Quintus Prime departed Cybertron, eventually settling on a world which he named Quintessa. With the life-giving Emberstone given to him by Solus Prime, Quintus created the Quintesson race. What befell Quintus afterwards is unknown, though it is believed that the Quintessons turned against their creator and killed Quintus.
Liege Maximo is the eleventh Prime and the most deceitful member of the Thirteen. After the battle against Unicron, Liege Maximo served as an emissary between the various groups of Primes, manipulating all sides for his own agendas. Together with Quintus Prime and Megatronus, Maximo created a "farm" of robotic beasts, which caused a rift between the other Primes as they argued over whether to keep it open or not. Meanwhile, Maximo manipulated Megatronus into murdering Solus Prime, causing a violent schism between the remaining Primes. After a destructive fight, Liege Maximo was destroyed by the Requiem Blaster (although no one knew who pulled the trigger), bringing an end to the infighting. The remaining Primes entombed Liege Maximo within the depths of Cybertron before retreating from public eye.
Megatronus is the twelfth Prime and the Warrior of Darkness, opposite to Prima. Loyal to Primus yet conflicted by the darkness within him, Megatronus formed a close relationship with the creative Solus Prime, something which most of the Primes did not understand yet did not question or comment on. Liege Maximo, on the other hand, decided to use it as leverage to manipulate a schism between the other Primes. By requesting a suit of armor for his and Quintus' "Farm", Maximo successfully created a rift between the two lovers, culminating in Megatronus murdering Solus. The other Primes hunted down Megatronus to the wilderness of Cybertron, where a destructive conflict ensued. In the end, Megatronus' Requiem Blaster was used to destroy Liege Maximo, though it is unknown if it was he who pulled the trigger. In the aftermath, a remorseful Megatronus agreed to go into exile, forever becoming known as
the Fallen.
Optimus Prime is the thirteenth Prime and the mediator of the Thirteen. Through his vision and encouragement, the uneasy alliance of Primes were able to defeat Unicron, with Optimus using his powers to place the Chaos Bringer in stasis. After Solus Prime's death and the violent schism which followed, Optimus followed Onyx Prime and Micronus into the Well of All Sparks, where he was reborn as a lesser Cybertronian to better understand the new generation. Thus did Optimus Prime perish and be reborn as
Orion Pax, a humble archivist who fell under the watchful eye of Alpha Trion.
Upon further research, I have discovered that they are variations of the Thirteen Primes as detailed in my previous entry, with certain personalities and even identities differing from those in
The Covenant of Primus.
The Multiversal Thirteen
These are apparently the "original" iteration of the Thirteen before their concepts were finalized.
Prima was the first Transformer and first bearer of the Matrix of Leadership. He wielded the mighty Star Saber.
Liege Maximo was considered the Ultimate Evil, a natural counterforce to the good in the universe. In some universes, he was the mastermind behind the Cybertronian Empire, which he ruled through his Liege Centuro Jhiaxus.
The Fallen was originally named
Megatronus, guardian of entropy, before he was cast out for his allegiance to the Chaos Bringer Unicron.
Vector Prime was the guardian of time and space. He aided the Autobots in their quest for the Cyber Planet Keys during the Unicron Singularity Crisis as well as answered question submitted to him by the humans of this world. (This is what convinces me that these Transformers are indeed real; Gerald even showed me that Vector Prime had his own Facebox page! Or whatever it's called.)
Logos Prime was created to pursue a quest for logic. However, upon encountering the entity Hytherion, he was driven mad and began investing his power into the Zeonimicon to cause mayhem, leaving his brother Vector Prime to confiscate it. At some point, Logos adopted the name
Soundblaster.
Nexus Prime was the guardian of Rarified Energon and the first combiner. To keep the Star Saber out of the hands of the Fallen, the blade was split into five pieces and given to each of Nexus' components, which were:
Skyfall, Landquake, Breakaway, Topspin, and
Heatwave. He eventually reunited himself and combined the powers of the Star Saber with those of the Terminus Blade to seal off the universes of the multiverse from each other to prevent further decay.
Alchemist Prime was a master of the elements. According to rumors, he still walks upon Cybertron's surface disguised as the owner of Maccadam's Old Oil House.
Micronus Prime was the progenitor of all Mini-Cons.
Onyx Prime was the Lord of Beasts and in tune with nature itself.
Solus Prime was the Primes' master forger and created a number of their artifacts, including the Zeonimicon and the Terminus Blade.
Epistemus was known for his intellect and unconventional ways of thinking.
Solomus was known for his wisdom and kindness.
Autonomous Maximus was a lonely sentinel who eventually abandoned his name and took up vigil in the depths of Cybertron, becoming known as the
Last Autobot.
IDW Universe
While similar to the lineup in
The Covenant of Primus, the Thirteen in this universe are not "demigods" but rather normal beings who rose to power in Cybertron's ancient past.
Prima believed himself to be the last of the Knights of Cybertron. He wielded the Star Saber, which had been forged by Solus Prime. After an expedition to Antilla ended in disaster, Prima placed the blame on Megatronus, spurring the dark warrior into attacking him. Prima was saved by Solus Prime before chasing after Megatronus to Tsiehshi. It was there that Prima met his end when Megatronus seized his Star Saber and used it to cut him down the middle. His remains were interred aboard the Titan Emissary, who eventually crashed on Elonia.
Vector Prime was one of the Primes who joined the Crystal City alliance and thus one of the first members of the Thirteen. After the death of Nexus Prime, he fled Cybertron for parts unknown.
Alpha Trion was one of the first Primes to join the Crystal City alliance. After Nexus Prime's death, Alpha Trion stayed behind on Cybertron and helped Nova Major unite the Thirteen Tribes. He would continue to become a respected sage and storyteller among the Autobots.
Solus Prime was one of the first Primes to join the alliance that would become known as the Thirteen. She forged a number of weapons for her fellow Primes, including Prima's Star Saber. When Megatronus turned on Prima, Solus intervened and Megatronus ran the Star Saber into her chest, killing her. She was remembered by the colony of Caminus, who extolled the Primes as god-like figures.
Alchemist Prime was one of the first members of the Thirteen. When Nexus Prime perished, Alchemist departed for parts unknown.
Nexus Prime was one of five Primes who formed an alliance at Crystal City before being joined by Onyx Prime, Liege Maximo, Megatronus and other Primes including his brother. During the First Civil War, Nexus formed an alliance with Onyx and created the Headmasters with his Enigma of Combination. At the end of the war, Nexus was killed by Galvatron, which scared the other Primes into fleeing Cybertron.
Onyx Prime was, in fact, the Decepticon known as
Shockwave who had been accidentally flung back in time. He orchestrated the rise of the Thirteen and practically wrote the Transformers' history, ensuring that every recorded event occurred as had been written. After Nexus' death, Onyx established the colony of Eukaris and gathered an army of Maximals on Antilla in preparation for the arrival of Unicron.
Liege Maximo was ruler of the Forgotten Plains, after having killed Imperator Maximo and Praetus Maximo. When his territory fell to the Darklanders, Liege Maximo and Onyx Prime joined forces with the Crystal City alliance. Over time, he began stirring feelings of resentment between the Primes, eventually leading to Megatronus attacking Prima. Eventually Maximo's deception was unveiled and he was imprisoned within his Titan Vigilem, who became the mobile colony of Carcer.
Megatronus was originally a nomad in the company of the original Onyx. When a time-displaced Shockwave killed Onyx and took on his identity, Megatronus fell under his wing and became his tool in forming the Thirteen and eventually dividing them. After killing Solus Prime, he fled to Tsiehshi where he killed Prima before being killed by Onyx Prime, his purpose having been fulfilled.
Amalamous Prime joined the Crystal City alliance in the wake of the Darklanders' invasion.
Micronus Prime joined the Crystal City alliance following the Darklanders' invasion and was for a time allied with Onyx Prime and Liege Maximo before he allegedly betrayed them. Along with the Titan Prion, he established the colony that would become home to the Mini-Cons. Afterwards, he created the sub-atomic reality known as Microspace and retreated within it.
Quintus Prime joined the Crystal City alliance in the wake of the Darklanders' invasion. When Liege Maximo and Megatronus turned against the other Primes, Quintus and Nexus were the ones to restrain Liege Maximo while Prima and the others went after Megatronus.

Besides the Thirteen, there have been a number of other Transformers to carry the rank of Prime, though their lineage and even ranking tends to vary from universe to universe.
Sunbow Universe
Primon, the
Alpha Prime, was the first known bearer of the Matrix of Leadership.
Prima was created during the Quintessons' occupation of Cybertron and the second known bearer of the Matrix. While participating in a gladiatorial match for his masters' entertainment, Prima attempted to overthrow the Quintessons only to be destroyed.
Prime Nova succeeded Prima as Matrix bearer and went on to take up the fight against the Quintessons, eventually driving the alien slavers away from Cybertron.
Guardian Prime was the next Matrix bearer and served as leader of the consumer-good robots that had been liberated from Quintesson rule, having taken to calling themselves "Autobots". When the military hardware robots -- known as the Decepticons -- rose up against the Autobots, the non-combatant Guardian Prime was killed, passing on the Matrix to Zeta in his dying breath.
Zeta Prime inherited the Matrix of Leadership from the late Guardian Prime and continued the fight against the Decepticons.
Sentinel Prime took up the role of Matrix bearer and Autobot leader after Zeta Prime and continued the fight against the Decepticons. It was under his leadership that the Autobots reconfigured themselves to transform, using their alt modes for stealth. It was with this advantage that Sentinel Prime was able to defeat the Decepticon leader Trannis, thus ending the First Great War. For a team, peace ensued on Cybertron, until it came to a violent end when Megatron, a new breed of Decepticon, killed Sentinel Prime and started the war anew. The Matrix subsequently ended up in the possession of Alpha Trion before being ultimately passed on to Optimus Prime.
Optimus Prime was originally known as
Orion Pax, a mere dock worker. When he was critically injured by the Decepticons, he was brought to Alpha Trion by time-traveling Autobots and rebuilt into a new, strong form. Bestowed the Matrix of Leadership, Optimus Prime took command of the Autobots and led them in the fight against the Decepticons. Their conflict eventually reached Earth, where the Autobots made allies with the native humans. In 2005, Optimus Prime was fatally wounded in a fight against Megatron and the Matrix eventually ended up in the possession of Rodimus Prime. A year later, Optimus was revived by a Quintesson scientist and went on to resume command of the Autobots.
Rodimus Prime was once a brash and impetuous named Autobot
Hot Rod. After Optimus Prime's death, Hot Rod used the Matrix of Leadership to destroy the Chaos Bringer Unicron, becoming Rodimus Prime in the process. For a year he led the Autobots in the fight against Galvatron and his Decepticons before returning the Matrix and leadership to a reborn Optimus Prime.
IDW Universe
Nova Prime lived during the era of the Thirteen, during which he was known as
Nova Major and served in the tribe of Prima. After the Thirteen departed Cybertron, save for Alpha Trion, Nova Major united the disparate Thirteen Tribes under one banner, naming himself Prime in the process. As Cybertron developed under his leadership, Nova Prime began harboring plans for an Expansion, planning to conquer the universe beyond Cybertron. Departing on board an Ark, Nova and his crew ventured out into the Benzuli Expanse only to be pulled into the Dead Universe, where Nova and his team were corrupted by the entity known as D-Void. Taking on the name
Nemesis Prime, the corrupted Prime set out to carry out the will of D-Void and expand the Dead Universe into the living realm. Ultimately however, his plans were thwarted by Optimus Prime and Nova Prime eventually met his end.
Nominus Prime succeeded Nova Prime as leader of Cybertron following his predecessor's departure. However, by this time the Prime's power had been absorbed into the Senate and Nominus had very little say over the politics of Cybertron's society. Unbeknownst to him and everyone else, the Matrix he carried was also a fake, the real one having been stolen and hidden beneath the planet's surface. Hoping to gain access to the "Matrix", the Senate had Nominus assassinated so that they could tap into the Matrix's power, only to discover it was a fake.
Sentinel Prime was head of security under the Senate's command. After Nominus Prime was removed from power, Sentinel was instated as Prime and continued to carry out the Senate's brutal policies. When the Decepticons rose against the oppressive government, Sentinel Prime headed to Kaon to face off against Megatron, only to be killed by the Decepticon leader. However, unbeknownst to everyone, Sentinel was in fact a Titan Master by the name of
Infinitus, who had once served under Nexus Prime during the era of the Thirteen. Escaping from his tomb unnoticed, Infinitus went into hiding for the next four million years and began rebuilding his body, all the while plotting his revenge. In 2016, Sentinel Prime was reawakened from beneath Kaon and attempted to raise an army of undead Titans to take over Cybertron. However, his scheme was foiled and the corrupt Prime was knocked into the depths of one of Cybertron's moons.
Zeta Prime was thrust into the authority of Autobot leader following the apparent death of Sentinel Prime, taking up the fight against the Decepticons. Overtime, despite initial signs to the contrary, Zeta Prime turned out to be just as corrupt if not more so than his predecessors. This culminated in him attempting to drain the life forces of innocent Cybertronian citizens to fuel a weapon that he believed would destroy the Decepticons once and for all. When Zeta sent his Omega Destructors to destroy the city of Nyon, Orion Pax and his Autobots were forced to team up with the Decepticons in order to bring Zeta's schemes to an end. While the Autobots destroyed Zeta's weapon, the Prime himself was obliterated by Megatron.
Optimus Prime was originally known as
Orion Pax, a captain in the Rodion police force. Inspired by the writings of a miner from Tarn, Orion constantly stood up to the corruption of the Senate, leading to him being a branded outlaw during the reign of Sentinel Prime. When Zeta Prime took over, he made friends with Orion and the two worked towards reforming Cybertron's security force into the Autobots. However, it quickly became apparent that Zeta Prime was no better than his predecessors and Orion was forced to bring an end to his reign. Not long after, Orion discovered the true Matrix of Leadership and became Optimus Prime, taking up command of the Autobots and leading the fight against Megatron and his Decepticons.
Animated Universe
In this universe, "Prime" was a rank more akin to "captain" or "general", while the role of Autobot leader was assumed by the Magnus.
Known Primes include:
Optimus Prime, a washout from the Autobot Academy who was granted command of a space bridge repair crew by Ultra Magnus, who still saw potential in the young Autobot. Optimus Prime and his crew ended up facing up against Megatron and his Decepticons on Earth and eventually brought the Decepticon leader into custody.
Sentinel Prime was once friends with Optimus until their fellow teammate Elita-1 was lost on Archa IX, leading Sentinel to resent Optimus for what he believed to be his fellow Autobot's fault. After serving as a drill sergeant, Sentinel eventually reached the rank of Prime and served as Ultra Magnus' right-hand bot in the Elite Guard. When Ultra Magnus was critically injured by the Decepticon spy Shockwave, Sentinel assumed command as acting Magnus.
Longarm Prime was secretly the Decepticon spy
Shockwave, who infiltrated the Autobot ranks and attained the position of head of Cybertron Intelligence. When Longarm Prime's position was compromised, he lashed out against Ultra Magnus, leaving the Autobot leader in critical condition before returning to the Decepticons.
Rodimus Prime was originally named
Hot Rod by his drill sergeant Kup Minor. After graduating from the academy, he took on the name Rodimus and was eventually elevated to the rank of Prime, taking command of the Autobot unit Team Athenia.
Highbrow Prime was head of Cybertron Intelligence during the Great War. When Shockwave infiltrated the Autobots as Longarm, he murdered Highbrow before attaining the rank of Prime himself, replacing Highbrow as head of Cybertron Intelligence.
Big Bang Prime served during the Great War and was bonded to the Omega Sentinel Beta Supreme, which doubled as his ship, the
Battlestar. During the Battle of Iacon, Beta Supreme was destroyed; whether or not Big Bang Prime perished as well is unknown.
Override Prime served during the Great War and was bonded to the Omega Sentinel Kappa Supreme, which doubled as her ship, the
Chromia X. While escorting a supply convoy, Kappa Supreme
was destroyed by the Decepticon Blitzwing; it is unknown if Override Prime was on board the Omega Sentinel at the time.
Fire Prime was among the Autobot forces killed by the Decepticon Oil Slick's Cosmic Rust virus.
In terms of Magnuses (Magni?), there are:
Zeemon Magnus was leader of the Guardians until he was overthrown by his private guard, the Protectons.
Terragar Magnus was leader of the Protectons, Zeemon Magnus' private guard. Under Terragar, the Protectons overthrew Zeemon and took command of Cybertron.
Nova Magnus was leader of the Protectobots. During his reign, he attempted to purge Cybertron of undesirable elements and information, which led Devron and the Destrons to rise against him.
P.C. Magnus was originally known as
Powered Convoy. During his tenure, he established Fortress Maximus as the headquarters for the Autobot Elite Guard.
Ultra Magnus, who was known as
Ultra Prime in the days before the war. He led the Autobots against Megatron and his Decepticons before defeating them at the Battle of Iacon. He continued to lead the Autobots into an age of peace before being critically wounded by the Decepticon spy Shockwave.
Other Primes
These are Primes that do not, as far as I can tell, fit in with any of the lineages detailed above.
Amazon Prime and
Regulus Prime were past Matrix bearers who haunted Megatron when he took possession of the Matrix of Leadership.
Leo Prime is a Maximal leader who is also known as
Lio Convoy.
Magnus Prime is an Autobot who may or may not be an alternate identity for Optimus Prime, Ginrai, or Ultra Magnus.
Modus Prime was created by the Last Autobot to lead the Mini-Cons in their clean-up efforts on Cybertron.
Nemesis Prime is a dark copy of Optimus Prime in most universes, though his name was once used by Nova Prime after he was corrupted by the energies of the Dead Universe.
Omega Prime is the combined form of Optimus Prime and his brother Ultra Magnus in certain universes.
Primal Prime was created from the Living Matrix itself, a conglomeration of Primes assembled into a single warrior who fights for justice.
Septimus Prime was an individual who reigned in Cybertron's ancient past, before the formation of the Thirteen.
Serpentor Prime was a mutant human created by the terrorist group Cobra. In one universe, he got his hands on the Matrix of Leadership and was turned into a Transformer.
These are elements and objects with correlation to the Thirteen Primes.
Artifacts of the Primes
The
Star Saber is a powerful blade wielded by Prima. In order to keep it out of the hands of the Fallen, it was shattered into five pieces and entrusted with the five components of Nexus Prime. In several universes, the hilt of the Star Saber was adorned by the
Matrix of Leadership, although in some universes it was known as the
Origin Matrix.
Rhisling was a blade wielded by Vector Prime which allowed him to slice through the fabric of time and space. According to legend, it was once known as the
Cyber Caliber, which Vector took from Mogahn the Mass. It was then altered by Amalgamous Prime to adapt to the abilities of its wielder, in this case Vector's. Vector Prime was also known to possess the
Blades of Time, a mandala through which Vector could focus his powers.
The
Covenant of Primus was where Alpha Trion wrote down his recordings of history, using the
Quill which could allegedly change the future of the Universe itself.
The
Forge of Solus Prime was a hammer with which Solus Prime was able to create several of her fellow Prime's artifacts. It was used in conjunction with the
Creation Lathe.
The
Chimera Stone acts as a conduit to Micronus Prime's power, allowing him to combine his energy with those of any of his fellow Primes.
The
Lenses of Alchemist Prime allowed him to perceive the cycles of the universe, as well as to see both sides to a given story.
The
Enigma of Combination allowed Nexus Prime to bestow the power of combination to any number of Cybertronians. Also in his possession were a number of blades, including the
Chaos Edge, the
Cyber Caliber, and the
Omni Saber.
The
Triptych Mask allowed Onyx Prime to perceive things others could not, such as time, souls, and even the afterlife itself.
The
Scythe was wielded by Amalgamous Prime and could turn into anything he wished. He was also said to have possessed the first ever
Transformation Cog.
The
Emberstone of Quintus Prime had the ability to seed worlds with life. It was with this artifact that Quintus created the Quintessons.
The
Liegian Darts were used by Liege Maximo to incapacitate his foes with dangerous toxins.
The
Requiem Blaster was a destructive weapon wielded by Megatronus, and a point of contention that started the rift that would eventually lead to the Thirteen's schism. The Fallen was also known to possess the
Void Scepter, which could be used to control other Transformers.
The
Zeonomicon was created for Logos Prime. When Logos went mad, he invested his power into the artifact and used it to cause mayhem. It was eventually confiscated by Vector Prime, who disguised it as his Cyber Key.
The
Apex Armor was a suit of armor said to have been created by Solus Prime, though some sources attribute its creation to the Decepticons.
The
Terminus Blade was created by Solus Prime to allow the Thirteen to cross between dimensions. When its purpose was rendered obsolete, it was cast aside and ended up in a negative polarity universe, where it was used by an evil incarnation of Ultra Magnus to destroy the "Classics Universe". It was eventually recovered by Nexus Prime and used in conjunction with the Star Saber to seal off the universes of the Multiverse from each other.
Colonies of the Primes
In the IDW universe, thirteen colonies were known to have been associated with the Thirteen Prime.
Elonia was the resting place of Prima after he had been interred within his Titan Emissary, which came to crash-land on the planet.
LV-117 was the colony of Vector Prime and possibly settled by the Titan Tempo, carrying a crew of philosophers. The planet would later become home to a shape-shifting species, of which the alien Varta was a member of.
Antilla was the first world the Thirteen made contact with, though the expedition ended in disaster when the Omega Sentinels decimated the planet. It would later be attributed to Alpha Trion, who was present for the disastrous events.
Caminus was the colony of Solus Prime, named for her Titan Caminus. It was home to a spiritual and artistic community that deified Primus and the Thirteen in their religion, the Way of Flame. The colony was led by the Mistress of Flame when it was rediscovered by Cybertron.
Prion was the colony of Micronus Prime, named for his Titan Prion. It was home to the diminutive Mini-Cons, who met an unfortunate end when the Black Block Consortia invaded their world and wiped out the entire population, leaving behind only one known survivor.
Arduria was the colony of Alchemist Prime, settled by the Titan Metrobase.
Devisiun was the colony of Nexus Prime, settled by the Titan Devisiun. It is home to diminutive Transformer twins with the ability to combine.
Eukaris was the colony of Onyx Prime, settled by his Titan Chela. It was home to Transformers with beast forms. The natives were divided into four separate tribes of "Walkers": Cloud (led by Sonar), Fur (led by Cheetor), Scale (led by Dinobot), and Wave (led by Manta Ray).
Velocitron was the colony of Amalgamous Prime and was settled by the Titan Navitas, home to Transformers with a love for racing. At the time of its rediscovery, it was led by Override and her rival Ransack.
Gorlam Prime was the colony of Quintus Prime. It was rediscovered by Nova Prime and the crew of the
Ark, and served as a staging ground for Nova's Expansion. Quintus Prime's Titan, Quintessa, would later be brought to Gorlam Prime where it was mutated into the Necrotitan.
Carcer was the mobile colony of Liege Maximo. In truth, it was the disguised form of Maximo's Titan Vigilem, who had been rendered inoperable after he and his master had been exiled by the other members of the Thirteen. When it made contact with Cybertron, the colony was led by the First One Elita.
Tsiehshi was the resting place of Megatronus after his climatic fight with Prima.
Earth was the alleged colony of the Arisen, which some adherents to the Way of Flame believed to be Optimus Prime.
TF COLONIES
Unicron Trilogy Universe
Animatron, the
Jungle Planet, was home to Transformers with beast alternate modes, as well as the location of one of the four Cyber Planet Keys.
Combatron was a garrison world until it was destroyed by a devastating civil war.
Gigantion, the
Giant Planet, was the site of one of the four Cyber Planet Keys and home to giant Transformers with construction-based vehicle forms.
Omnitron was the home of the Omnicons and led by Rodimus.
Planet X was a mysterious planet that was destroyed by Gigantion. Its two sole survivors, Sideways and Soundwave, ended up siding with Unicron to take their revenge against Cybertron and the other colonies.
Velocitron, the
Speed Planet, was home to Transformers with a love for racing and the site of one of the four Cyber Planet Keys.

Antilla was the first colony the Transformers made contact with, retroactively dedicated to Alpha Trion. However, the expedition itself ultimately ended in disaster. In retaliation, one of the natives used a device to transform Antilla into the Chaos Bringer
Unicron.
Arduria was the colony of Alchemist Prime, settled by the Titan Metrobase. It was a gas giant inhabited by the mechanical Ardurian rocs, who were considered to be estranged cousins to the Transformers. The heat-absorbing effects of one of Shockwave's Regenesis ores caused the entire planet to freeze over and shatter, with the rocs being forced to scour for heat.
Caminus was the colony of Solus Prime, settled by the Titan Caminus. Transformers born on Caminus developed an interest in the spiritual and creative arts, creating a religion that deified the Primes. Due to a dwindling sun, the Camiens were forced to adjust to a low-energy lifestyle in order to conserve fuel.
Carcer was the "colony" of Liege Maximo, made from the immobile form of the Titan Vigilem.
Deivisiun was the colony of Nexus Prime, settled by the Titan Devisiun. Like Nexus himself, those born on Devisiun were gifted with the ability to combine with one another, often being born in pairs.
Earth
Elonia was the "colony" of Prima, after it became the resting place of his Titan Emissary.
Eukaris was the colony of Onyx Prime, settled by the Titan Chela. Like Onyx himself, Eukarian Transformers were born with beast modes, something which had become a rarity on Cybertron. Over time, the Eukarians were split into competing tribes, each one based on a particular type of beast mode.
Gorlam Prime, colony of Quintus Prime, was a decaying world whose techno-organic population gradually evolved into a race of diminutive Transformers. Side effects of an Energon ore sent by the Decepticon Shockwave also caused a portal to open on Gorlam Prime, allowing the followers of Nemesis Prime to escape the Dead Universe and use Gorlam Prime as the staging grounds for their expansion. Quintus' Titan, Quintessa, would later be raised from Gorlam Prime and become known as the Necrotitan.
LV-117 was the colony of Vector Prime, settled by the Titan Tempo. It was removed from the linear time stream due to the effects of one of Shockwave's Regenesis ores. Its organic natives have the ability to reshape their forms into more vicious fighting forms, and are forced to speak entirely in rhyme in order to communicate with other races.
Prion was the colony of Micronus Prime, settled by the Titan Prion. It was home to diminutive Transformers known as Mini-Cons.
Tsiehshi was the "colony" of Megatronus after it became the fallen Prime's resting place.
Velocitron was the colony of Amalgamous Prime, settled by the Titan Navitas. Due to the planet's scorching sun, Navitas is forced to stay mobile in order to stay on the cold side of the planet. As a result, Transformers from Velocitron developed into a racing society with fuel-efficient forms.
