(A few weeks or so after the defeat of Violen Jiger, Rodimus Prime speaks to the Autobot High Council on Cybertron)
Rodimus Prime: You wanted to see me, High Council?
Optimus Prime/Trion: Rodimus, we have reached a decision. I shall step down as Trion to become your advisor and "co-Prime" while you stay as the main Prime. Meanwhile, Councilor Axiom shall replace me as Trion.
Rodimus Prime: I... am honored, Optimus. Shall we roll out?
Optimus Prime: Yes.
(Meanwhile, at the Stockade, where most- if not all- of the Decepticons are being held....)
Nemesis Prime: I shouldn't have hired you.
Deathsaurus: Yes, go ahead and place the blame on me. I know the others weren't fond of you back on Chaar, after Unicron's demise.
Nemesis Prime: Look, you were the only general I knew, so I had no other choice.
Deathsaurus: Point taken. Clench vanished, Scrash is... not so great. (As he talks, a vaguely familiar figure appears outside a nearby window)
Nemesis Prime: Er, Deathsaurus?
Deathsaurus: What?
Nemesis Prime: Is that... Clench?
(Suddenly, a giant armored carrier crashes into the prison facility and begins shooting down Autobot guards. He is soon followed by the Predators)
Clench: Guess what? I'm back.
Deathsaurus: Good! Now, free me from this-
Clench: I don't think so. I'm only here for a select few 'Cons. (He then frees Breakdown, Ramjet, and some other guys) Now then, we have a war to win.
Deathsaurus: How did you escape?!
Clench: Oh, you've heard? I'd like to thank "Mr. Purple" for finding us where Soundblaster left us.
Deathsaurus: Mister... Purple?
(We find that "Mr. Purple" is actually Sideways, who then leaves with Clench and co. out of the Stockade. Meanwhile, at Autobot HQ)
Crosscut: Ultra Magnus, this is Crosscut! Decepticon Clench as freed a handful of Decepticons!
Ultra Magnus: ...Not again....
Blurr: (talking really fast) I thought Clench was gone!
Kup: (talking to himself) I swear we need better security.... [Tell me about it, gramps]
Ultra Magnus: Springer, take the Wreckers to Sector Ten and set up Grand Maximus' defenses. Blurr, Kup, you're with me.
(Later, at the Grand Maximus Defense Base)
Springer: Metalhawk, we must activate Grand Maximus. Magnus' orders.
Metalhawk: What? But... Grand Maximus has only been used for emergency. Can't we use Fortress Maximus?
Springer: Look, I'm just telling you what Magnus told me to tell you!
Waverider: Actually, Metalhawk... (A Decepticon ship appears) I think we're gonna need GM....
(On Clench's ship, Clench monologues)
Clench: It all started yesterday. We were on that cursed planet where Soundblaster left us. I was just sitting there when... he arrived. He said his name was Sideways. He offered to help me and my crew. Initially, I didn't trust him... until he showed me the fleet of ships he had brought with him, including a new flagship... the Obliterator. And now... the Autobots shall fall!
(On Cybertron, the Autobots prepare to fire at Clench's fleet)
Flak: Battle Patrol, ready all weapons! (They fire at two Decepticon fliers, Powerdive and Ransack)
Powerdive: Move faster, old man!
Ransack: Hey, respect your elders, Powerdive!
Kup: Where did these bolts come from?
Ransack: If you must know, Powerdive and I are part of Team....
Powerdive: Team Karn.
Ransack: Team Karn... yeah.
Kup: Whatever. (He shoots Powerdive)
Ransack: Decepticons, attack!
(A battle begins. Hooray. Grand Maximus' defenses fire at the Obliterator, but doesn't leave a scratch. The Obliterator then fires at Grand Maximus, destroying the base. Luckily, Metalhawk and his crew manage to escape in time. In Iacon, Rodimus Prime is leading the Autobot defenses....)
Ultra Magnus (voice): Rodimus, this is Magnus! Transmission from Metalhawk!
Metalhawk (voice): Rodimus, Grand Maximus is down! We're en route to Iacon. Orders?
Rodimus Prime: Change route to Protihex.
Metalhawk: If you say so.
Rodimus Prime: Pyro, I want you and your team to head to the Galactan system and find reinforcements, now!
Pyro: Copy that. (Pyro's team and their ship leave Cybertron and jump into hyperspace)
Rodimus Prime: Fortress Maximus, charge up the main energon cannons!
Fortress Maximus: But that'll take up 20% of Cybertron's-
Rodimus: NOW!
(Fort Max fires the energon cannons, which damages the Obliterator and causes Clench and his forces to retreat. Wow, talk about anti-climatic)
Rodimus Prime: Mission accomplished....
(Meanwhile, Pyro's team arrive in the Galactan system and land on the planet... Linus. Any relation to the Peanuts character is unknown)
Autotrooper: Halt. Let me see your identification.
Pyro: Uh.... (The guard scans him and then reports to his boss)
Autotrooper Captain: Well?
Autotrooper: Pyro. Autobot Captain. ID Number: 61993-61994. Ship: Autobot Omega Delta-Class Shuttle. Code name: Spark.
Autotrooper Captain: Hmm. Let them in.
Autotrooper: Roger that, captain. Please precede.
(Pyro and co. enter the main building and are greeted by some tour guide)
Wingblade: Welcome to LINUS CITY! I am Wingblade, and I shall be your guide through this glorious city!
Pyro: I'm sorry, but we're here to retrieve Autobot reinforcements.
Wingblade: Oh, but you must stay for a little bit! Follow me! [I smell a trap]
Pyro: No, we must-
Jolt: Let's go, Pyro!
Rapido: 'Si! [They're goners]
Pyro: (sighs) I'm gonna regret this....
(Back at the Stockade....)
Nemesis Prime: If I ever see Clench again, I swear I'm gonna rip out his optics!
Crankcase: Bludgeon? What are you doing?
(Bludgeon begins chanting weird Latin words, clearly summoning someone....)
Crankcase: I said, what are you doing?! Answer me, you-!
(Suddenly, a mysterious figure arrives)
???: You called?
All: THUNDERWING! [Dun-dun-DAAAH!]
