THE PHANTOM'S WRATH
(On Cybertron, the ground rumbles. Inside the Decepticon Council's chambers....)
Octus: Straxus, you know the drill.
Straxus: Er... no, I don't.
Legonis: Operation: Dreadnaught, you idiot.
Straxus: Oh. Right. (He pulls a switch and a computer voice speaks out while Cybertron begins to change shape....)
Computer: Placing citizens in internal safety cells. Lowering towers. Cities and provinces secured. Transformation initiated. 15%... 30%... 55%... 71%... Stage One ready. Battle station initiated. Transformation complete.
(So yeah, Cybertron is really a giant spaceship. Who would've thunk? It jumps into hyperspace and heads for Gaia, where Optimus Prime, the Autobots, and Solus Prime's people are being attacked by Shokaract and the Heralds of Unicron)
Bumblebee: What. The pit. Is going on?!
Solus Prime: The return of Shokaract.
Bumblebee: Who?
Solus Prime: Later-
Bumblebee: No, now! Who are are you? Who's Shokaract? And what's with the force-field? [That's what Vector Prime was there for, apparently; creating a force-field]
Solus Prime: *sigh* I am Solus Prime... one of the Thirteen. Shokaract is more than just a Herald of Unicron... he is the spawn of the Chaos Bringer. And for the shield... Shokaract's presence can mean only one thing... the end of everything.
Vector Prime: Solus... I can't.... hold the shield!
Solus Prime: Navitus, recharge Vector's power.
Navitus: Right.
Bumblebee: So, what is this planet?
Solus Prime: You mean Gaia? Gaia... is like Earth-
Bumblebee: You know Earth?
Solus Prime: Yes. You could call Gaia Earth's "sister" planet. I don't know- wait....
Bumblebee: What?
Solus Prime: Navitus! Vector! Look!
(They all look up to see the Cybertron Dreadnaught thing exiting hyperspace)
Vector Prime: Oh... Primus protect us all....
Galvatron: Now, Optimus Prime... you shall fall! (Suddenly, the Phantom- Violen Jiger- appears)
Violen Jiger: No. You shall.
(Somehow, Violen Jiger forces Galvatron out of control of Cybertron and takes command over the planet instead. He then changes its dreadnaught form... into a giant robot)
Violen Jiger: Now, fall... before VIOLEN JIGER!
Optimus Prime: What do we do now?!
Solus Prime: Nothing.
Hot Rod: What?!
Solus Prime: This is it. Our time is over. Even if my brothers and I combined our powers, it still wouldn't-
Hot Rod: No. It can't end like this! Can't we use the Matrix?
Solus Prime: It might be able to destroy Violen Jiger... and your planet as well.
Hot Rod: There mus be another way! (He takes the Matrix of Leadership back from Optimus and drives off, ignoring Solus' protests)
Solus Prime: Reckless one, isn't he? I never got to know his name.
Optimus Prime: Yes. His name is Rodimus Prime.
(The Heralds of Unicron chase after Rodimus)
Shokaract: Get him! Come here, boy! (He lunges at Rodimus but the Autobot protector shoots him down. He then shoots down the other Heralds and flies off towards Violen Jiger)
Optimus Prime: Dai Atlas! Sonic Bomber! Roadfire! Form BIG POWERED! [How convenient. Those three guys who have never appeared before appear now when they're needed most. Wow]
(The three Autobots combine into a giant... weapon...vehicle thing. Meanwhile, Rodimus Prime confronts Violen Jiger)
Violen Jiger: Eh? And who are you, little bug?
Rodimus Prime: I am Rodimus Prime... and I shall defeat you!
Violen Jiger: Ha! In your dreams.... (He fires a laser beam at him only for Rodimus to vanish) What the-?!
(Suddenly, Primus speaks out to him) Primus: Give me my body back.
(Violen Jiger turns to see Rodimus Prime standing before him, planet-sized and powered by Primus. The Phantom fires another laser beam at him, but Rodimus dodges it.)
Rodimus Prime: Too slow.
Violen Jiger: Raargh! You shall fall!
(While they fight, the Decepticons leave Violen Jiger's body and attack those down on Gaia)
Cyclonus: DECEPTICONS, ATTACK!
(Despite this dramatic cry, they get their butts kicked. Anyway, back with Rodimus and Violen Jiger....)
Rodimus Prime: You can't win, Violen!
Violen Jiger: Oh? I do have one thing up my sleeve....
(He sends a MEGA-HUGE energy beam at Rodimus. At that moment, Big Powered arrives and attaches to Rodimus' arm)
Big Powered: That dude's going down!
Violen Jiger: Do you really think that can destroy me?! You are a fool, Autobot!
Rodimus Prime: No. I'm the Chosen One. (He shoots Violen down and brings out the Matrix of Leadership, speaking to Primus' spark/essence/whatever) Now, you go take your body back.
(The Matrix shoots out an energy beam, which destroys Violen Jiger and restores Cybertron to its natural state, with Primus back in control. Later, down below on Gaia....)
Kup: Kid, where are you?
Optimus Prime: Rodimus?
Rodimus Prime: (walks in injured) Here....
Optimus Prime: Rodimus? Are you alright?
Rodimus Prime: Yeah.... Optimus, I can't be a Prime anymore. I know I'm the Chosen One, but... I'm a soldier... not a leader.
Optimus Prime: Don't worry, Rodimus. We'll solve this out later. Right now, we have some Decepticons to put back into the stockade and a home to rebuilt. Autobot, transform and roll out!
(Two days later, Nemesis Prime is thrown into a cell by Optimus)
Nemesis Prime: Do you really not remember me, Optimus?
Optimus Prime: What do you mean?
Nemesis Prime: Kaon. Cop-Tur. Death. You were late. Don't worry... it'll click soon.
Optimus Prime: ...Dion?
Autotrooper: Optimus, captive D-336 is resisting capture.
(Optimus Prime walks off to help restrain Deathsaurus while Nemesis Prime sits in silence....)
The end... until the next story arc.
