Star Wars Destiny: Episode VI, Opening and Chapter One

STAR WARS DESTINY
EPISODE VI
THE END OF ALL DAYS
War has plagued the galaxy, with several worlds having fallen to the Empire and the Sith. While planets such as Kashyyyk and the Core Worlds still hold strong, they are still in danger of falling to the Empire.

Meanwhile, deep in the Outer Rim, Toah Jarsan, a Jedi Knight thought to be dead, has returned from the Netherworld of Praetus and has embarked on a solo quest to destroy the staff of Valtheran and stop Darth Vorath once and for all....

Timeline: Twenty-six years after the events of A New Hope.
CHAPTER ONE
Rion Sadon, Port Administrator of Utapau, never understood the praise that the Jedi Order was always given to by the galaxy. For more than a thousands generations, the Jedi has been involved in many conflicts, many of them having been caused by one of their own, not to mention the four schisms that have occured within their order. It made Sadon wonder how the Jedi have managed to survive to this day.

And now, much to his chagrin, a Jedi Knight was wanting to speak with him face-to-face, for reasons unknown. Deciding that it was best to get it over with, Sadon walked from his office to Senator Fay's, where the Jedi had asked to meet him.

The office of Senator Fay was occupied by the Pau'an politician himself, as well as Sadon's protege Trion Medon, and the Jedi Knight. The Jedi, who had never provided his name to Sadon, was clad in dark-brown robes, with a lighter brown cloak and a hood raised over his head, concealing his face.

Noticing Sadon, Senator Fay gestured for the administrator to take a seat at his desk, which Sadon politely declined. Turning to face the Jedi, Sadon spoke. "Greetings, Master Jedi. What brings you here to Utapau?"

The Jedi folded his arms across his chest. "Information," he grunted.

Sadon scratched his wrinkled, gray chin. "May I ask what sort of information?"

The Jedi leaned forward in his seat. "Do you know anyone by the name of Dion Sazon?"

Sadon rose a hairless eyebrow. "Dion Sazon? Was he not a Jedi like you?"

"Three thousand years ago, he was," the Jedi replied. "But most information on him has been lost. I was thinking that, since he was a Pau'an like you, you would know something about him."

Sadon stiffened. "All I know is that Dion ruined the Sazon family name by choosing to become a Jedi rather than a Port Administrator like his father. And by becoming a Jedi, he would later start another war against his fellow Jedi."

From beneath his hood, the Jedi's eyes twinkled. "So you are aware of the Darth Desolous conflict."

Sadon sniffed disdainfully. "Only because the Jedi were keen enough to constantly remind us."

"I see," the Jedi muttered, rising from his seat. "Well then, with that, I must be going."

"Oh, don't tell me you only came here so you could learn about some pathetic Jedi!" Sadon spat, startling both Senator Fay and Trion Medon.

The Jedi stopped cold in his tracks. "So what if I did?" he asked without turning to face the Pau'an administrator.

Sadon advanced towards the Jedi, pointing his pacing stick angrily at him. "You Jedi are always going around the galaxy, interfering or interrupting others' affairs just to satisfy yourselves! For thousands of years have your kind fallen to the dark side and instigate these Sith wars! You have been nothing but trouble!"

The Jedi slowly turned to face Sadon and lowered his hood, revealing a yellow-skinned, horned Zabrak face. "Do you truly believe that, administrator?"

Sadon nodded, his voice being restrained from his anger.

The Zabrak Jedi smiled darkly. "Then my work here is done."

He then strode across the room and walked out of the office, leaving all three of the Pau'ans in confusion.
 *  *  *
Over the past decade, it seemed as if Telos IV had gone relatively unchanged since Toah Jarsan's last visit during Luke Skywalker's absence. Of course, with the mysterious disappearance of Senator Zooranoo, Telos had become not as lively as it used to be, most noticeably in its capital city of Thani.

But Toah was not here for socializing anyway. For the past few years, he had been determined to find the lost Telosian Jedi Academy that he had failed to find fifteen years ago. In his mind, he thought it was possible that the temple had some knowledge on how to destroy the staff of Valtheran.

As he walked through the city of Thani, looking for anyone who knew the academy's location, Toah began to feel a strong presence in the Force. He looked around but saw nothing but ordinary citizens walking past him. But the presence still felt close, as if something or someone was following him.

Toah quickened his pace, determined to outrun whatever was following him. But who or whatever it was took pursuit, coming to a point where it was matching Toah's speed. The Jedi Knight finally turned around and into an alleyway, where he spun around and seized his pursuer by the collar of their cloak.

He quickly released them though, when he saw the wrinkled, sagged visage of an elderly woman facing him.

Toah backed away, gazing at the old woman as she calmly regathered herself, staring kindly at him as if he did not lash out at her. A few minutes of silence passed between them before Toah began to speak, slowly and carefully.

"Can I help you?" he asked.

The old woman tilted her head, as if she was studying him. Finally, she said, "Jedi lost?"

Toah arched an eyebrow. "How do you know I'm a Jedi?"

"Vima knows," the woman said, smiling. "Vima can sense the Force in you. You are Jedi."

Toah held his confused gaze on the woman. "Why were you following me?" he asked. "What do you want?"

The elderly being smiled again. "Jedi searching for something. Vima can tell. Vima can help you."

Toah eyed Vima-which he presumed was the woman's name-carefully. "How do I know I can trust you?" he asked.

"Trust your feelings," Vima replied. "Search deep and you will find that you can trust Vima."

Toah did so, falling deep into the Force. Soon, he began to sense a strong aura of the light side of the Force surrounding Vima. The old woman was right; she did seem trustworthy.

"All right," he said. "I'm searching for a Jedi academy here on Telos."

Vima tilted her head sadly. "Vima afraid she cannot help you there," she said. "The Telosian Jedi academy...is gone!"
