STAR WARS DESTINY
EPISODE V
SEEDS FROM THE PAST
The war between the New Republic and the Galactic Empire may have ended, but from its ashes, an army led by the Sith has arisen. In response, the New Republic, now led by former Old Republic leader Finis Valorum, has strengthen its military and has sent several defense fleets across the galaxy.
One of these fleets, led by General Lando Calrissian, has been stationed in the Dantooine system to protect it from potential Sith attackers. Meanwhile, Jedi Knight Toah Jarsan has set out to explore his past,by searching for clues on his homeplanet of Dantooine...
Timeline: between twenty-five and twenty-six years after the events of A New Hope.
CHAPTER ONE
The Viscount-class Star Defender known as the Liberator shook as blaster fire pounded on the battleship's steel hull. Imperial TIE fighters and Sith fighters swarmed around the ship, evading A-wing and E-wing starfighters as they flew from the Liberator's hangars.
Lando Calrissian observed the battle from his stance on the bridge, holding onto the railing whenever the ship shook from the firepower of the enemy fighters. He cringed as another blast hit the Liberator hard enough to nearly knock him off his feet.
"Blast!" he exclaimed. "If they keep hitting us like that, at this rate, we'll be spacedust in no time!"
"Not if we can help it," muttered Captain Hawk, who was standing by a console beside Lando. "I don't think these guys can be stronger than they have been for more than twenty years."
"Well then, how are they tearing us apart?" Lando asked. "I don't recall TIEs fighting like this!"
"I've read about the old wars against the Sith," Hawk replied. "They say that Jedi and Sith can use something called 'battle meditation' to tip battles in their favor."
"Really," Lando muttered, looking out the bridge's viewport towards the Super Star Destroyer that waited behind the lines of fire, away from the battle that raged on.
Turning back to Hawk, he said, "contact our friends down on Dantooine. I think I've got a plan..."

Kyle Katarn looked over his pair of electrobinoculars to witness an Imperial force march towards him and his team of Jedi Knights and New Republic troopers.
"Sithspit," Kyle grunted. "There's too many of them. I knew we should've brought more tanks."
One of the Jedi, a Rodian, let out a laugh. "Don't tell me the great Kyle Katarn is scared of a few Imperials!"
Kyle glared at the Rodian Jedi. "Be quiet, Kelbis." He then turned to the Republic trooper codenamed Spike. "Captain, do you think your rocket troops can take down those walkers?"
"I don't think, sir," Spike replied. "I know they can. Which one do you want taken care of first?"
"See if you can take down those chicken walkers," Kyle said, gesturing towards the approaching AT-ST walkers. "They're not as dangerous as AT-ATs, but they're heck of a lot faster."
"Understood," the captain said. "But what are you going to do about the AT-AT?"
Kyle grinned. "We're gonna pull a Luke."

Martok Zel, admiral of the Super Star Destroyer Eradicator, cringed as another one of the ships in his fleet was shot down. Despite having the advantage of a Sith Lord coordinating the battle in the Empire's favor, Zel was still unsure that they would be victorious.
Just then, his musings were interrupted by an officer who had approached him from behind. "Sir, Lord Scythe would like to speak with you," the officer told him.
Zel's heart skipped a beat. The Sith Lord Darth Scythe rarely summoned others to his quarters, and the few that were summoned were never seen again.
The Admiral gulped. He could not deny Scythe's request, so he had might as well get it over with. He stepped off the bridge and made his way to the turbolift that led to the Sith Lord's chamber. After going though a maze of corridors, Zel finally reached the entrance to Darth Scythe's quarters. Taking a deep breath, he stepped into a dimly-lit room, where most of the light came from the large, holographic viewscreen lit before a seated figure.
"Hello, admiral," the hidden being said. "Come here. I wish to show you something."
Nervously, Zel walked up besides the frighteningly calm Sith Lord. On the viewscreen before them was a grid-like field, showing nearly each and every Republic and Imperial ship that were fighting in the waging battle.
"It seems out enemies have become, how should I say, savvy to our methods," Darth Scythe said. "As you can see, they are directing their firepower towards this very ship, even though we are behind our lines, completely immobile and inactive."
"I see..." Zel murmured, glancing at the viewscreen. "So...shall we return fire?"
A pair of yellow eyes glowed from the Sith Lord's silhouette. "Too predictable," he said. "Let us attempt a different approach. Have the Star Destroyers attack the Republic ships from behind. This will surely derive their attention, allowing us to attack them in surprise."
"Brilliant strategy," Zel said, relived now that he was certain Scythe was not going to kill him. "I shall give the orders to the other ships."
Just as he was about to leave, Darth Scythe called after him. "One last thing, admiral."
Zel froze in his tracks, swallowing hard. "Yes, my lord...?" he asked, his throat parched.
"Please inform Lord Stalker to take his band of Sith Knights to Dantooine. I don't truly believe that Commander Lean's men are capable of handling Jedi."
Zel nodded. "As you wish, my lord."
As he headed out the door, Zel couldn't help but feel as if Darth Scythe's eyes were following him, with irises filled with malice....
