Star Wars Destiny: Episode I, Chapter Six

EDITED 1/28/2015: Ignore the paragraphs about Blue Harvest. I've since started a story about the mentioned Imperial project and it's taking a direction different from what is described. Same goes for future mentions of it in Destiny.
CHAPTER SIX
The New Republic had won Mygeeto. Following their victory, they went on to defeat the remaining Imperial forces throughout the Outer Rim Territories, on words such as Kashyyyk and Teth. In short succession, the Empire was defeated and the Galactic Civil War was over.

But not for Thrawn. The Grand Admiral was one of the few remaining Imperial leaders for a time, along with Grand Vizier Sate Pestage, Director Ysanne Isard, Grand Moff Nihan, Inquisitor Jerec, and Cronal. However, from what Thrawn had heard, Pestage had been killed on Ciutric IV by Admiral Delak Krennel, while Isard had been imprisoned. Cronal, under the alias of Lord Shadowspawn, took control of some of the remaining forces, but he was defeated as well.

As for Nihan and Jerec, they had recently joined forces with Thrawn, though the Chiss Grand Admiral knew it was hopeless. The Imperial Army and Fleet had either been destroyed, captured, or defected to the New Republic. And when highly revered people such as Pestage and Isard had failed, what could a single Grand Admiral do to rebuild the Empire?

Searching through Imperial records is what I'm doing, Thrawn thought. On board his personal ship, the Csila, Thrawn had discovered a hidden cache of records that were labeled classified. Thinking that they may contain something useful-perhaps something that could help restore the Galactic Empire-he decided to access them.

What he found was quite interesting. One of the files contained a log entry by former Senator T'toille of Brodo Asogi. Apparently, T'toille was aware of something known as 'Blue Harvest', which the Senator had no knowledge of, but knew that his planet was involved.

Another, made by Governor Wilhuff Tarkin, revealed some specific details. It seemed that the only ones who knew of the project were the Emperor, Darth Vader, Admiral Otto, and a cooperation called BNL. Thrawn had heard of Admiral Otto, who was in command of the ship Axiom, which mysteriously disappeared.

So how was Brodo Asogi involved?, Thrawn wondered. Some scientist believed that the natives-known as Children of the Green Planet-had the strange ability to travel to another galaxy. But the Republic had attempted such a thing before, with the Outbound Flight Project, and it failed. Of course, Thrawn had a hand in that failure...

Thrawn sighed. It was a large galaxy out there. So many mysteries...and so little time.

"Attention!" Wedge shouted as he entered the debriefing room. The rookie pilots quickly stood up as Wedge quietly chuckled to himself. I love doing that, he thought. He looked at the row of rookies who were trying out for a spot in one of the Republic Fleet's squadrons. There were five of them: two Humans, a Twi'lek, a Nautolan, and a Kel Dor.

"All right," Wedge said to them. "Tell me who you guys are and then we'll start training."

The Kel Dor stepped up first. "Vin Sadoon of Dorin, sir. I once served as a co-pilot on a freighter."

"Corran Horn of Corellia, sir," said a young man. "I served in the Corellian Security Forces and I have had my experience as a pilot."

"I'm Seph," said the Nautolan, wearing a huge grin. "Seph Kisto. I became a pilot myself after I left Glee Anselm."

"My name's Warat Torr," the Twi'lek said. "But please, just call me Torr. My name sounds too much like 'war rat'..."

The last person to step up, a Human like Corran, did so somewhat nervously. "I'm Toah Jarsan from Dantooine, sir."

Wedge beamed at the new recruits. "Glad to meet you all. I'm sure you'll be great one pilots some day..."

"Toah! You almost flew right into the Senate Building! You have to stay in the flight area!"

"Sorry, sir," Toah replied through Wedge's comlink as he flew his fighter back into position. "Won't happen again."

Wedge sighed to himself as his friend Tycho Clechu walked up, laughing at the scene he had just witnessed.

"How's it going?" Tycho asked, chuckling. "Don't think you're fit for teaching anymore?"

Wedge glared at him. "You're welcome to substitute. Toah's really the only one I'm having trouble with. Torr looks like he'd be a good dogfighter. Vin's good at ambushing, and Corran and Seph are good as well. But Toah, he's...he's..."

"About to fly into us!" Tycho shouted. The two men ducked as Toah's X-wing flew right over them.

"That's it!" Wedge shouted into his comlink. "All rookies, land your fighters! Don't crash them!"

He glanced back at the snickering Tycho. "If you think you can do a better job, be my guest..."
