CHAPTER SIX
"Captain, the X-wings are returning to the Alliance craft," Ka Var reported. "No doubt to assist them in dealing with Visora and the others."
Captain Scav chuckled as he sat back down in his command chair. "No doubt. Let us sit back and enjoy the show, maties."
As soon as he had said that, a young Zabrak officer turned in his seat. "Captain, we seem ta 'ave a disturbance on Level Aurek."
Scav moved with a start. That was the same level the bridge was on. "What kind of disturbance?" he growled.
"Well, Jym's unit ain't repondin'... and da security camera are showin' dead Feeorins and-"
The captain shot up from his seat, seething with rage. "Seal all of the blast doors to the bridge! Dispatch all security droids!"
"Security droids aren't responding, sir," said a Gran officer. "Something's overriding the command codes."
Scav's azure face flushed with fury. "Impossible. Only I can override the command codes."
"It's not my fault you made me as I am, Scav."
The Feeorin's heart skipped a beat. The cold, almost mechanical-sounding voice was emitting from Tar Dukk's communication panel. It was a voice he hadn't heard in nearly ten years, but recognized nonetheless.
"Kadar," he snarled. "I would ask you how you got onto my ship, but it wouldn't matter, would it? What do you want?"
"Your cold, dead corpse at my feet," Kadar replied. "But I figure that's too much to ask for."
Scav sighed, forcing his anger to subside for the time being. "Kadar, if this is about Metalorn- about Corda- then you must know that I was not responsible-"
"I don't care about the specifics," Kadar said sharply. "I just know that you were involved. And so I'm going to kill you."
The Feeorin captain scowled. "So be it." Turning to the Zabrak officer, he said, "Open the blast doors... and leave him to me."

Hearing the hiss of blast doors opening, Kadar checked his weaponry. Missile launcher on one arm, flamethrower on the other, multi-barreled canon in abdomen, rocket launcher on back....
The doors peeled back before him and a large, tendril-haired being appeared in its place, an energy-sword in hand. Moving quickly, Kadar raised his missile launcher arm and fired. The blast sent the Feeorin flying back onto the bridge and crashing into his command chair.
Quickly recovering, albeit in a daze, Scav growled and readied his sword before charging again. He swung his sword to slash at Kadar's armor but was suddenly knocked off his feet again- this time with Kadar- when the ship shuddered, as if being assaulted by firepower.
Grabbing the edge of his command chair and lifting himself up, Scav barked, "I thought Visora had that blasted Alliance ship handled!"
"Actually, captain," said a Blood Carver pilot, "it would appear that Visora and the others are fiding on us with the Alliance ship."
The Feeorin's eyes nearly popped out of their sockets. "That spawn of a murglak! I'm going to tear his face off and-!"
He was cut off when Kadar slammed a fist into his face, surprising Scav enough to make him drop his sword. The former Mandalorian quickly seized the blade and raised it to decapitate the pirate captain.
"For Corda," he whispered before bringing the blade down.
It abruptly stopped within a few inches from Scav's face as a pair of large arms grabbed Kadar from behind and lifted him from the floor.
Scav grinned ruthlessly as he recovered his blade. "Good work, Tar Dukk," he said to the Hiitian which had seized Kadar.
The rogue Mandalorian struggled in the brutish alien's grasp, but could not access any of his arm-mounted weapons. He then realized that his abdomen was still exposed... but decided to save that trick for later.
"Perhaps you should have waited until I was secluded within my abode down on Odryn," Scav mused as he casually looked over his sword. "Maybe than you would have had a chance."
"You're pathetic," Kadar said spitefully. "You carry that sword around, but it's just for show. You rely on your bumbling crew for protection because you haven't got any fight in you."
Scav stared at him with fiery eyes, baring his fanged teeth as he seethed with rage.
"You're a coward, Scav. Just like the other Vigos."
The Feeorin howled in anger and moved to stab the bounty hunter until Kadar flipped out the multi-barreled cannon within his abdomen.
"And cowards deserve to die."

The bridge of the Rusty Mynock was on fire.
Jorg Sacul couldn't help but be amused by the sight. When they and Visora's ships had turned on Captain Scav's flagship and caught it by surprise, it did not return fire initially... and probably never would now that its bridge was on fire.
"What do you think?" he said to Lieutenant Callum. "Technical difficulties or something more imaginative?"
"Don't know, don't care," Callum replied. "We did our part, now Visora need to hold up his end."
Sure enough, the Tunroth's visage appeared on the viewscreen in front of them, grinning wickedly.
"Well done," Sidor Visora said. "I don't know what you did, if it was even you in the first place, but Scav has been taken out."
"Indeed," Jorg said. "So shall we proceed to Odryn."
The Tunroth nodded. "You may. Our work is done here."
With that, his face vanished from the viewscreen and his fellow pirate ships began to jump into hyperspace. Once they were all gone, save for the damaged Rusty Mynock, Callum turned to Jorg and raised an eyebrow.
"Think they might pull something?"
"They're pirates," Jorg replied. "Of course they will."
He then nodded to the chief pilot and the Liberator moved towards Odryn.
