HUNT FOR THE KEY
(On Earth, at the three brothers' house) [guess I was wrong about them never showing up again]
Joe: I'm surprised this house can fit giant robots.
Lightyear: I believe this was a shuttle launched from the Ark.
Joe: Uh... what now?
Lightyear: The Ark was an Autobot vessel made for exploration. Optimus Prime used it to leave Cybertron and find more energon. The shuttle was probably launched when Megatron attacked the Ark. After that, I have no idea. [Thanks anyway, Mr. Exposition]
(Outside, Optimus Minor and his team stand over Optimus Prime's resting place)
Turborun: Bummer. [How tactful]
Heavypunch: I'll contact Omega Prime about this.
Turborun: There wasn't much you could've done, sir.
Optimus Minor: I know... I just wish I could do more. A lot more....
(Elsewhere, Quintessons conspire. Al-Badur retrieves Megatron's body before sending out Sharkticons to find Optimus Prime's. We then see Sharkticons attack the Autobots on Earth.)
[Clearly, back then, I had no concept of story pacing]
(On Cybertron, High Councilor Avalon receives a message from a mysterious entity)
"Entity": Avalon. It's been a while. An agent of mine has retrieved the Velocitron Planet Key.
Avalon: Excellent. Have him find Starscream.
(After the entity leaves, Avalon's aide enters)
Aide: Sir, you are needed at Tyrest.
Avalon: Very well.
(On Earth, Starscream is flying around when he hears a mysterious voice)
???: Hello, Starscream.
Starscream: Eh? Who said that?!
Noisemaze: The name is Noisemaze. [I'm pretty sure they've already met] Who I work for is none of your business. I know that you're after the Planet Keys. I can help you there.
Starscream: Really?
Noisemaze: Yes. Follow me.
(He leads him to a volcano)
Starscream: What is this?
Noisemaze: Your future. (A bunch of zombies emerge from the lava) And their's....
(Meanwhile, with Megastorm and co stand before the Dark Energon they've found)
Megastorm: Irontread, transfer this energon into cubes!
(Suddenly, a wild Fallen appears!)
The Fallen: I don't think so. At least, not while I stand.
Megastorm: Well, with that in consideration.... (he transforms and fires at the Fallen) I guess it's mine!
The Fallen: No. It's not. (he fires back)
(They fight a bit. The Fallen slices off Megastorm's arm off. Crumplezone tries to tackle the Prime but is blasted away)
The Fallen: Fools. I've seen Maladroids fight better than you lot. I expected Megatron to have trained his warriors better. No wonder you die so easily.
Megastorm: Shut up! (he fires his tank turret at the Fallen, to no effect)
The Fallen: *sigh* I tire of this. So long, Mega-- (someone shoots him) Ack! Who dares?!
Crosswise: In the name of the Autobot Security Force... you are under arrest. [We only have two issues left and only now are we seeing Cybertron Earth characters?]
(Back with the Autobots)
Optimus Minor: Stupid Sharkticons. (he turns to their leader Gnaw, who's basically Energon Sharkticon) Now for you....
Gnaw: For Quintessa. For Alpha Quintesson. For the Master!
Optimus Minor: Shut up. (they clash swords)
(On Cybertron, Avalon arrives at Tyrest)
Avalon: What is going on, officer?
Autotrooper Captain: We've lost contact with Tyrest Squads 4 and 13. Squad 16 said there are rogue Decepticons in this area.
Avalon: I thought they all fled after Megatron died!
Autotrooper Captain: Apparently not.
(Nearby)
Sparkstalker: Cindersaur, Flamefeather, move it!
Cindersaur: What about Roadstorm?
Sparkstalker: Don't worry about him! Just move!
Autotrooper Unit 756: This is Unit 756. We've spotted-- (he gets blown up, while his partner gets stabbed)
Roadstorm: Pft. Pathetic. Somedays I wish you Autobots were worthy opponents.
(Back with Avalon)
Autotrooper Captain: Unit 756? Unit 757? Report!
Autotrooper Officer: Captain, I've got three of them! (he reveals the three captive Firecons) There's a fourth one out there. He killed 756 and 757.
Autotrooper: Good work, soldier. Regroup with Squad 9 and find him -- wherever he is!
(Watching from afar, someone (looks like Soundwave, but... he's with the Fallen) attempts to contact Megastorm. However, poor ol' Megs has been defeated by the Fallen)
The Fallen: Cyclonus, finish the Autobot.
(Just then, EVAC shows up!)
Evac: Stand down!
The Fallen: If I were you, I'd stand down.
Evac: Never! (he fires at the Fallen... to no effect)
The Fallen: Very well. It's your funeral.
(On Cybertron, at Autobase)
Ironfist: There's a bunch of 'Con activity in Vos and Perihex!
Omega Prime: Hm. Send Roadfire's team to Perihex. Powerflash, take your team to Vos. Alpha Team, Artillery Team, you're with me. Transform and roll out! [Sorry, man. It's just not the same]
(Elsewhere, Straxus rallies the Decepticons)
Straxus: Deathsaurus may have failed... Octus may have failed... but I won't. I am STRAXUS! Decepticons -- RISE UP!
